Welcome to Rotary Club Tampere International's site!
Rotary Club Tampere Finland (RCTI) is the first and only English-speaking Rotary Club in the region of Tampere, Finland. We simply call ourselves RCTI and we are a nice group of relaxed yet dynamic Finns and non-Finns who are curious about other cultures and customs. Most of us have lived in different countries and/or travelled extensively. Our mission as an international club is to serve the international community in Tampere and surrounding areas and help its members enjoy living in Tampere. We are also a natural contact point for non-Finnish Rotarians visiting Tampere.
If you are a Rotarian visiting Tampere, you will certainly be welcome in any of the 10 Rotary Clubs of our city. But if you come from outside of Finland and/or do not speak Finnish, then we are the club to visit!
Don't know about Rotary yet? Rotary is a great way to help integrate into the community! If you live in Tampere area and would like to know more, you can check the links down below and contact us.
If you don't see your national flag above, just visit us and we will be happy to add it! If your flag is already there, you are of course very welcome as well!
We meet bi-weekly on Tuesdays at 17:00 (5pm) in Plevna Brewery Pub & Restaurant. After the meetings we have dinner together, naturally also in Plevna.

RCTI is entering unchartered territory with it's first ever flea market effort.
RCTI will have a table at Tampere's Radiokirppis flea market from 11-November until 4-December (24 days). RCTI members will donate good quality but unwanted goods that some of the general public will hopefully provide new homes for.
Radiokirppis is located in Laukontori 12, 33200 Tampere and is open Mon-Fri 10-17, Sat-Sun 10-15.
RCTI is glad to announce that the net charitable intake from the second RCTI Oktoberfest event in Plevna (17 September) was 560,00 EUR (from registrations) and 310,00 EUR (from the raffle).
We had participants from the following Rotary clubs (in alphabetical order): Akaa, Aulanko, Tampere Kissanmaa, Tampere International, and Vanajavesi. Thank you very much for your interest, participation and contribution.
560,00 EUR shall be donated to Tampereen Ensi- ja Turvakoti Ry.
310,00 EUR shall go toward supporting the purchase of Precosa medicine for RCTI member Rudiger Schultz’s Doctor Bank trip to Tanzania in January.
RCTI hopes the Oktoberfest event becomes a dependable fixture each Rotary year and we hope other clubs can continue supporting this good cause.

The site visit to the Logistics Centre of the Finnish Red Cross, in Kalkku, will take place on February 10th. We will have the opportunity to meet a nurse who has been active with the Red Cross in Africa. The initially programmed presentation about Thailand will be rescheduled at a later date, and added to our Program page as soon as the new date is known.
